Access Statement
Introduction
Willoughby Lodge Bed & Breakfast consists of two bedrooms (doubles) and one family room and is a stone and brick cottage built in 1892. It has been extended and altered over time to provide comfortable accommodation whilst maintaining its original character.

The nearest town is Sleaford which is 1.5 miles away with a train service to Grantham 10 miles and Lincoln 24 miles.
There is a National Express bus stop just outside our house.
There is a number of Taxi companies that operate from Sleaford.
Accommodation is only suitable for guests with mobility/hearing impairment who are accompanied to ensure the safety of the guest.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
Car Parking is available and there are two/three spaces for guests.
Access to the house is through the front door. The driveway is block paved leading onto a paved path, which is lit, and then through a gate and up one step to the front door. The door chime is situated on the wall to the left of the front door.
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area
The main entrance is through the front door. There is no alternative access.
Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc
Guests have access to the ground floor where the dining room is situated and one of the bedrooms and the first floor, where the other bedroom is situated.
Access to the first floor is by a fairly narrow and steep staircase. All floors are carpeted except the entrance hall, which is lino and the kitchen, conservatory and ground floor shower room, which are tiled, and the other guest bathroom has non-slip laminate.
There is no public telephones however there is a public phone box in the village within walking distance.
All doorways are of standard width and height except one of the ensuite bathrooms where the doorway is 24 inches wide.
Lighting throughout the house is moderate and in keeping with the property.
There is a rope banister up the stairs.

The dining room is in keeping with the property. The table can seat six comfortably with cushioned chairs of which two have arms and four do not.
The conservatory will be used in the summer months. The table in there can also seat six comfortably and has pine chairs one of which has arms and five have not.
Guests are served by the owners.

Wet laundry facilities are available on request and service washes can be arranged if required.
Dry cleaning can be arranged through local services.

There is a Post Office in the village, which is open mon-thurs 9-12.

There is a garden to the rear of the property, which is accessed by a paved area. There is a table and benches available for guests use.

Bedrooms & Sleeping Areas
One of the guest bedrooms is on the first floor and accessed by way of a narrow and steep staircase and would be considered difficult for the disabled. This is a double bedroom with ensuite facilities being a standard shower, washbasin and toilet.
The second bedroom is accessed on the ground floor directly you enter the front door and is also a double. There is a seperate private bathroom next to the bedroom and comprises a large shower, washbasin and toilet. There is also a lounge area next to the bedroom and bathroom, which has a double sofa bed available to make an extra sleeping area for one or two people. This is all self contained and has its own key.
All bedrooms have televisions with remote controls, battery operated fire alarms and tea making facilities.

There is a large garden, which is made up of lawn and flowerbeds to the rear of the property accessed by way of paved area. There is a water feature and ample seating. There is a hot tub for the use of the guests and instruction would be given.
